The Perfect Camcorder For Capturing Your Holiday Memories

I planned on going on a European tour this summer with my cousin and girlfriend. It’s going to be nothing but two months of delectable cuisines and life changing experiences.

All of which are elements that should definitely be immortalized on photos and videos. If there are three main things a traveler needs to equip themselves with it would have to be a bottle of ibuprofen (e.g. Advil, Tylenol), a translation dictionary with all the languages for the phrase, “Take me to the US Embassy”, and a good quality camcorder to document all the unforgettable adventures.

Why I Decided To Get This Canon Camcorder

I’ve already got two of the three items listed but was still looking for a good quality camcorder. There were a few things I wanted the camcorder to have; a long life battery just in case I’m unable to charge it every night, a lot of memory and storage space, HD quality images (after all who’d be interested in watching blurry footages and pictures of our trip), and an overall well built camcorder that can take a few possible hits and dings. When I found the Canon VIXIA HF S200 I knew almost instantly that is was the camcorder for me. (And by the way: it has been voted one of the Best Full HD Camcorders 2012 for a good reason)It had everything I wanted in a camcorder and more with 2 SD memory cards, the ability to record and output 1920×1080 Full HD images, shock resistant hardware, and even a 3.5 inch high resolution touch panel LCD screen (a real added bonus in my opinion). After trying it out at the electronic store, I decided to take it home with me. The VIXIA HF S200 usually retails for around $800, but that particular store was having a 20% off sale on selected items in which the camcorder happened to be one of the selected items.

I am Impressed

I played around with the camcorder for the next couple of weeks, familiarizing myself with its every detail, functions and form. And it’s safe to say I’m now more impressed with it than I was when I first bought it. I’ve discovered so many other neat features like the different frame modes that allow you to customize your footage to your creative vision; there’s the native 24p mode which allows you the same capture rate as film down to the very second, the 24p cinema mode adds a professional film like aesthetic to your footages just like those in the movies, and the 30p frame mode great for recording fast action images. So far I’ve used the camcorder at my friend’s graduation ceremony, my cousin’s wedding, and on a hike at a national park. I was blown away each time once I was able to view the captured footage. The images produced by the VIXIA HF S200 are so clear, so crisp, and display the most brilliant colors ever.

A Camcorder With A Great Battery Life

I had just about enough with my Samsung camcorder. It had all sorts of flaws; it was unable to take clear pictures in dim or low lit settings, the buttons sometimes wouldn’t respond right away, it takes forever to charge the battery and for no reason at all it would just turn off. I knew it was about time for an upgrade. I searched online for a few days until I discovered the Canon VIXIA HF S21. – This camcorder is one of the Best Full HD Camcorders 2012, and this is obviously one of the main reasons why I decided to get it -  It was definitely an upgrade in quality and price compared to what I had. But I figured with the amount of good reviews and impressive features that it would be worth it. So I went ahead and ordered the camcorder, hoping for the best.

It arrived three days later and I was very excited to throw out my old Samsung, but not of course until I’ve had a good test run with the Canon. First thing I noticed with the hand held device was its size and light weightiness. The VIXIA HF 21 measures at about 2.9 by 3 by 5.8 inches and weighs just at 1 pound. This enhances its portability even more and I could even comfortably fit it in my jean pockets (albeit I do wear lose and baggy jeans, but that’s beside the point). It came with a 64 GB internal flash drive and 2 SD memory card slots, which means more pictures and more content in the 24 hours of recording that’s allotted. Another feature I absolutely love about the VIXIA HF S21 is the 3.5 inch touch panel LCD which displays high resolution images. This makes it easier to customize settings and navigate through the menus without having to stop recording.

Another great thing with this camcorder that I didn’t experience with my old one was its quick response time. There’s virtually no time between pushing a button and getting the response or intended action. Video recording is faster, easier and more precise. It’s also good to know that in an event of an accidental drop or bump, the flash memory will make your camcorder more shock resistant and the chances of losing important data is minimized.

One of the most impressive features of the VIXIA HF S21 is its amazing image quality. I’ve never seen anything so vibrant, so clear and so colorful produced by a camcorder before. The images are an exact replica of reality and the footages look so professional, I can’t get over it. This camcorder captures, records, and outputs images in Full HD. So the images on screen are just as superb as the images on your lens. Also the audio captured is just as great as the images, resulting in perfect picture and sound.

Capture All The Foolishness That Occurs In College Dorms

I wanted to get my younger sister the best graduation gift ever. Unfortunately nothing I buy her can compete with the new car that my parents got for her; although I did come really close with the Sony MHS PM5 bloggie video camera.

I knew she needed something where she can conveniently document her life in college; also a camcorder is much more efficient than a phone when it comes to capturing footage. This will come in handy for trips, class demonstrations, hanging out with friends or just capturing all the foolishness that occurs in college dorms.

My Sister Loved Her New Cam

Overall it was a great buy and I couldn’t wait to give it to her.
Fast forward to the day of her graduation; I handed her a wrapped box that contained the camera. She was ecstatic once she opened it and saw what was inside. A Really Lightweight Camcorder

We had our old camcorder for about 2 decades, which is quite a substantial time to own any single electronic device. Especially in the world of technology where newer and improved models are coming out all the time. A few months ago we finally retired the old tape camcorder because we needed a new one badly. One Of The Best Sports Action Camcorders

My First Use: A Snowboarding Session

I immediately started putting it to use. The first time I used it was on a snowboarding session I had with my cousins the following weekend. First off, let me say this camera is uber cool and the size is perfect. It’s smaller than my wallet, which makes for an ideal portable camera. It can fit in the front pocket of my pants. Not to mention, its sleek white design suits the locations that it’ll be used in. Although, it may prove to be a problem if I ever dropped it in the snow but hopefully that doesn’t happen.

GoPro HD Hero Naked Really Impressed Me!

After 30 minutes of constant shooting and reviewing its playback, I was very impressed for many reasons. For one thing, the picture is insanely clear; it might as well have been real life images. The color is so rich and the footages are so realistic. It really gives me an accurate perspective of the action going on, especially when I can play it over and over again as well as view it in slow motion. This is possible with the 720p range. This camera is also capable of 960p for wide angles and 1080p for the highest quality resolution.

This one was mostly a problem for the 720 high definition quality. While the waterproof aspect allows for some fun shooting possibilities, many wanted a 1080 camera instead. Considering the size of the camera and the price, this is one waterproof camera that makes most very happy.

I have found that using the Canon VIXIA HF G10 makes recording videos — no matter what the circumstance — easy and fun.

Why I Got This Canon Camcorder

What caught my attention first and foremost was how peculiar the Canon VIXIA HF G10 was. I’ve never owned a video camera that contained so many features packed into such a small device. For example, the 32GB internal flash memory astounded me the most. Because of the vast amount of flash memory, the VIXIA’s battery life is greatly increased. Moreover, if for some reason if my camera’s memory runs out, I had the ability to record footage onto my SD cards. Ultimately, what I feel is a must-have feature for all camcorders is: Durability. At first, I was weary that the Canon VIXIA HF G10 would not stand up with other competitors in durability. However, throughout my use, I’ve found the VIXIA to actually be very sturdy. I am certainly confident that the it can withstand any wear and tear.

High Tech Attributes

One characteristic of the Canon VIXIA HF G10 that personally I enjoyed was the high-tech attributes. One of these attributes is a 10x HD video lens. This video lens produces efficient, superior video quality that I have never seen before on any other hd camcorder. One distinguishing element in this video camera is its elegant 8-blade iris that aids the camera in making the high-resolution videos that everyone will enjoy. The amount of user control that’s included in the VIXIA is overwhelming. For example, the manual focus ring allows me ultimate control over the content I produce.

Videos Are Super High Quality

Compared to other high definition video recorders, the Canon VIXIA HF G10, although for its extreme lightness, records extremely high-quality videos. I enjoy the fact that this camera is versatile in almost all facets in its design. Furthermore, with the wide-range of features included in Canon camcorder, there happens to be new unique traits that the VIXIA brings to the camcorder market. First, a program called ‘Smart Auto’ allows the camcorder to detect a variety of features including: Brightness, color, distance, and movement. Additionally, the Smart Auto feature carefully analyzes faces. One neat aspect of the Smart Auto feature is sub-feature called Tele Macro. Tele Macro automatically zooms the lens of the Canon VIXIA HF G1 to the telephoto end which enables the camera to shoot outstanding close ups with precision.

The Wide Angle Lens

The VIXIA’s HF G10 most attractive characteristic is its wide angle lens. As a matter of fact, I know plenty of people who’ve bought this camera just for this feature. Some of my previous camcorders requires a wide angle lens to be separately attached to the main camera. Because of this, using a wide angle lens made these camcorders uncomfortable and unpleasant. Thankfully, the HF G10′S built-in wide angle lens is less agonizing to operate.
